I came to New York after majoring in Speech and Rhetoric at Occidental College, and completing Conservatory Training at American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Along the way fell back in love with speech and rhetoric, with how we talk to one another, with how we talk to make things better.
Since then:
25+ years of Broadcast News Consulting: training journalists in speech, writing and delivery techniques, both privately and on retainer to a wide array of news organizations
25+ years of work with local, state and national Public Officials preparing for media and live appearances
25+ years of teaching Adult Professionals in College Extension Courses, seeing how great a variety of work cultures exist
25+ years of working with wonderful people at The Women's Refugee Commission, HIAS, and adjacent groups affording me incomparable experiences with Refugees and Activists from Uganda, Rwanda, Somalia, South Africa, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Bosnia-Herzegovina
